The Flatwoods Fire Department is a volunteer pay-by-call fire department. Please review our requirements and feel free to fill out an application today.
We will review your application, and when an opening is available, you will be contacted for further processing of your application.

Firefighter Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years-old
  • Background check / driving history
  • Initial drug test / Random each year
  • Complete initial Twenty (20) hours before responding to calls
  • Complete 150 hour state certification in two years
  • Maintain 50% attendance on calls and training
